The Tribe of Eli Movement
Hello
The Tribe of Eli Movement was created to help our human family to achieve more peace thru teaching emotional intelligence. Thru educating our world on emotional intelligence we'll get along better as a nation and world.
Equity plays a huge part in our organization and also our motto which is "One Planet; One Sound".
Elijah Gilmore (Founder and Recording Artist) uses drumming as a tool to bring Our world together and can be found impacting various communities through a program he founded in 2005 called "The Tribe of Eli Mentoring Program".
This Program is a 501C3 Non Profit, and has recieved funding support over the years. After years of success it became The Tribe of Eli Movement
Our Story
We teach our clients life skills such as self-love, cultural diversity, emotional intelligence, communication skills, coping skills, discipline, diet, yoga, and enviromental education so that we can be a better world! This program includes motivational speaking, one on one mentorship, while also incorporating the arts (drum therapy) which provides a positive atmosphere for our clients to connect with each other and additionally express themselves creatively thru music.
Additionally for some the drum therapy included in our program may provides an productive outlet to channel life frustrations, thru drumming rather than thru violence

Music has always been popular for its ability to bring people together from all different walks of life, but we now understand the great benefits of incorporating music (drumming) in educational environments too! Muisc helps the teacher student/client bonding process; allowing the students/clients to both receive and retain information much easier. In fact, music has been proven to improve academic performance. Students who were exposed to music scored 63 points higher on verbal tests and 44 points higher on math tests than students who were not exposed to music!
On average, after just one year of music lessons a students grades rises 11%, After two years it goes up to 14%, after three years it rises to 17%, and after four years it raises their grades a whopping 23%!
Music is also now practiced in hospitals to treat patients suffering from both mental and physical conditions such as autism, ADHD, anxiety, depression, general physical therapy, and much more. This is also helpful with our students/clients who may suffer from these illnesses.
